Gov. Gavin Newsom provided an update on when businesses in California will be able to reopen and return back to normal operations.
On Friday (August 28), Newsom introduced a new 4 tier framework to monitor California's progress as we move forward from Coronavirus.
Each tier will have a color and that color determines how businesses can operate in that county.
Those colors are as follows:
Purple: Widespread - Most non-essential indoor operations closed
Red: Substantial - Some non-essential indoor operations closed
Orange: Moderate - Some businesses open with modifications
Yellow: Minimal - Most businesses open with modifications
87% of California's population, including Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange County, are in the "widespread" or "purple" tier.
To advance to the next tier, a county must meet certain requirements which includes a 21 day wait time and meeting metrics for the next tier for 2 straight weeks.
