Many people are lending a helping hand during this difficult time and comedian Jay Leno is has joined in.

The 70-year old recently told Bill Maher in an interview that he has started producing personal protection equipment in his 122,000 square foot garage for healthcare workers and first responders.

Leno said he has a couple 3D printers in his garage and has set them to manufacture clear plastic shields around-the-clock.

"We make them and we give them to the fire department and they hand them out to first responders and hospital workers," he said. "They run 24 hours a day and keep churning them out. At the end of the week we give them away."
