High school sweethearts Shannon and Troy Zeeman attended the 2017 country music festival, when a gunman opened fire killing fifty-eight people and injuring hundreds more. Troy was one of those who were injured, getting shot in the leg, but he was able to save himself, his wife and 20 others who attended the festival.
Clarkson and the acappella vocal group, Pentatonix, surprised the couple and performed an original song based on Shannon and Troy's love story.
