West Coast Thunder announced their postponement back in March due to COVID-19 concerns, but it was announced that the ride will return on May 31, 2021.
"This is a difficult but necessary step as the health and safety of our guests, staff, and community is paramount," according to the West Coast Thunder Foundation.
Each year upwards of 7,500 motorcyclists pack the street of Indiana Avenue in Riverside, California, to observe and participate in the tradition of West Coast Thunder. Riders honor the military with an opening ceremony and then parade to Storm Stadium in Lake Elsinore for a musical celebration.
Donations to the foundation can still be made HERE.
"In these unprecedented times, we urge you to follow the advice of local public health officials. Stay safe. Stay healthy."
