Beginning January 1, 2020, veterans may show their driver's license or ID card with the “VETERAN” designation on it to shelter personnel and have adoption fees waived, according to the City of Corona

This bill does waive adoption fees, but licensing and microchip fees still apply. Also the law limits the free dog and cat adoptions to one every six months.

The Corona Animal Shelter is located at 1330 Magnolia Avenue in Corona. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
