A new report that finds adolescent suicides have spiked over the last decade and substance misuse is exacting a heavy toll on teens especially in the LGBTQ and American Indian community.
Albert Lang, Director of Communications for Well Being Trust came on the program to talk about the report which finds that substance misuse and suicide disproportionately affect adolescents from certain racial and ethnic minority groups, as well as LGBTQ youth.
48 percent of gay, lesbian and bisexual adolescents report considering or attempting suicide as compared to 13 percent of their heterosexual peers.
