Early Detection Is The Key To Survival

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men, excluding skin cancer. One in nine men in the US will be diagnosed during their lifetime.


Since early prostate cancer rarely causes symptoms, having a simple blood test is key to detection, though many men are hesitant to get this test because they fear the treatment.

Dr. Robert Meier, a radiation oncologist at Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle and Medical Director of the Swedish Radiosurgery Center came on the program to discuss why it is important to get screened for prostate cancer and the available treatments if needed.
