It's a huge fear for arachnaphobes and the general public at large, being bitten by a brown recluse.
That appears to be what happened to Craig Campbell on Sunday.
What started out as a fairly small bruise has been increasingly growing over the last several days as the "Outskirts of Heaven" singer has been documenting on Instagram:
After many commenters suggested Craig seek medical attention, he visited two doctors, all of which believe it was indeed, a brown recluse.
The brown recluse spider is known for it's "necrotic venom", which means, if it bites you, your skin may necrose, or "die". The spider is quite prevalent in the south, but not as many live here in California.
