California Governor, Gavin Newsom, just issued a mandate that all Californians must wear a face mask while in public.
This directive comes as more and more in California are being observed not taking necessary precautions amid the COVID-19 outbreak. And, an increase in new cases since slowly reopening the state.
From KTLA, Governor Newsom did not mention exactly how the mandate will be enforced, however, people who don't follow the guidelines may be subject to citations and/or fines.
It's been recommended to wear a face mask in public, but until today, it was not required after the stay-at-home orders were lifted.
