You may recall just weeks ago, that Lady Antebellum decided to shorten their name to "Lady A", in an effort to support Black Lives Matter and to be more inclusive.
That did not sit well with performer, Anita White, who has performed under the name "Lady A" for over 20 years.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, peaceful negotiations between the two parties took place shortly after the bands' name change in June, and it seemed as those BOTH parties agreed to continue performing under the name "Lady A".
Not so fast. Today, the band Lady A filed a lawsuit in Nashville, alleging that their name is trademarked and have held the rights for over 10 years.
In addition, the band Lady A says that they were asked to agree to a settlement of $10 million to use the name. They declined the offer, and thus, along came the lawsuit.
