According to KTLA, the student, Valeria Viveros, was one of several who were recently affected by the disease at the Extended Care Hospital in Riverside.
The 21-year old was working as a first-time nursing assistant when she was diagnosed.
A week later, she passed away, leaving her family shocked and devastated.
According to her family's GoFundMe page, Valeria loved her job and wanted to help the elderly.
