We definitely need some good news in 2020, so how about the Happiest Place on Earth reopening?!
Disneyland announced that the theme park will be reopening on July 17th after months of being closed due to the coronavirus. Prior to the theme park opening, the Downtown Disney District will reopen it's shops and restaurants on July 9th.
New restrictions will be in place for guests heading to Downtown Disney, Disneyland, and California Adventures.
All guests will:
*Have their temperature taken prior to entering
*Have to wear a face mask
In addition, cashless transactions will be encouraged to minimize the interaction between guests and cast members. While in Downtown Disney or either theme park guests will be encourage to "move responsibly". Social distancing will also be practice while the theme parks will be operating at limited capacity. To encourage healthy habits inside the park hand washing stations and physical barriers will be added.
Live attractions, like the nightly parades, and character meet and greets will be on hold to reduce large gatherings and unnecessary interactions. It's unclear if any rides will be effected by the restrictions.
