Chase Rice was recently raked over the coal for holding a concert during a pandemic. Videos from the concert went viral after fans and fellow country stars noticed the lack of masks and social distancing.

One songwriter, Abe Stoklasa, commented on Chase's Instagram with some not so nice things to say like, "You sound like if Sam hunt took a s*** seven years ago and somehow grew a mouth and learned protools" and then continued by saying "My whole industry hates you."Chase's friend, Jake Owen, came to his defense and replied to Abe's rude remarks. "Why lower yourself to a post like this? It's sad man. What you said is ridiculous. 'Hate?'... you're gonna use a word like that, in a time like this? Chase is my friend. I am a part of this industry, and trust me it's not just yours. I stick up for my friends. I've always thought you were a great musician, songwriter and voice. You are better than this. That was straight ignorant thing to say."
Chase Rice did apologize for the show and announced new plans for shows in the future.
