California is slowly starting to reopen and tomorrow the Riverside City Council will decide if Mt. Rubidoux should reopen to the public.
The popular trail was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but as we enter Stage 2 of Reopening California a lot of hikers are ready to hit their favorite spot.
The problem with opening Mt. Rubidoux has to do with social distancing. There are part of the trail that make it difficult for hikers to stay 6 feet away from each other.
Prior to Mt. Rubidoux closing, it drew thousands of hikers. It was officially closed on March 27th.
