Taking the side stage in the middle of the blazing heat, Brandon Lay was clearly thrilled to be playing his first Stagecoach.
"We've heard about this festival for a long time!" he noted, after his very appropriate first song, "California."
"We played a lot of honky tonks and frat parties to get to this point," said the self-proclaimed "Child of the '90s" as he began an energetic cover of Matchbox 20's "3am."
Equally entertaining were original songs like his single, "Yada Yada Yada" and the nostalgic-but-uptempo "Still Rock 'n' Roll."
