When it comes to sharing his truth, Brantley Gilbert prefers to let his music do the talking for him.
"I think at this point, I wear my heart on my sleeve in my music," he says in a statement from his label. "A lot of people choose social networking to do that.
"I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that but for me, I'm little old school and I say what I have to say on my records and, you know, if I'm telling people these are chapters of my life and these songs are things that I've been through, I don't have a choice," he continues.
"If I don't put those songs in there, I'm just not being honest. I'm not being real."
