Brett Young's dad is a pastor, and the "Here Tonight" singer is well aware of the reputation that pastor's kids can sometimes have. He also says that doesn't apply to him.
"There is a very prevalent rumor about pastors' kids that we're the worst kids," he explains in a statement from his label. "And I've met a few of those pastors' kids, but for the most part I was kind of a goody two shoes and didn't get into too much trouble, and very straight-laced and played sports growing up.
"So it doesn't ring true for me, no."
Brett also played guitar in his Christian high school worship band and eventually even led worship when he was in school, which served him well when he went to Nashville to pursue country music as a career!
