The Cadillac Three sold out two back to back shows this weekend (Friday, November 1st and Saturday, November 2nd) at the legendary Troubadour, bringing their Southern Rock and "Country Fuzz" to West Hollywood.
Several fans bought tickets to both shows, causing the trio to tease them during the Saturday night performance that they would have to switch up the setlist, which was comprised almost entirely of dedicated Cadillac Three songs, despite their large catalog of songs written for other artists (the lone exception was "Days of Gold," recorded by Jake Owen).
The crowd was treated to several songs set for inclusion on The Cadillac Three's forthcoming Country Fuzz album, which will drop on February 7th, among them, "Slow Rollin'," "Back Home," and "Crackin' Cold Ones with the Boys." The exuberant crowd also sang along to nearly every word of every song, particularly "Peace, Love, and Dixie," "Bury Me in My Boots," "Soundtrack to a Six Pack," and show closers, "American Slang," "White Lightning" (which lead singer Jaren Johnston dedicated to his wife, who was present), and their anthem "The South."
Opening the concert Saturday night was Chris Shiftlett, best known for being the lead guitarist for the rock band The Foo Fighters, and lesser known for, but equally adept at, heading his own honky-tonk-inspired country band, The Dead Peasants.
