Casey Donahew returned to the Brandin' Iron Thursday night (April 11th) for an intensely passionate group of fans.
His set included fan favorites like "Stockyards," "Country Song," "White Trash Story," and his ode to his home state of Texas, "One Star Flag."
He also featured several songs from his forthcoming album, like the Garth Brooks-influenced "He Ain't a Cowboy," "Queen for a Night" (which had the crowd two-stepping), the romantic first single, "Let's Make a Love Song," and the title track from One Light Town, of which Casey dedicated to audience members in love and offered the following disclaimer: "If this song doesn't close the deal for ya, it's not the song's fault - it's your fault."
Other highlights included "Kiss Me," with the impressive banjo solo, "Bad Guy," which Casey described as his favorite song that he's written, and "Go to Hell," about "the worst woman ever."
And from the audience reaction, it's clear that Casey Donahew is wanted back in Southern California very soon.
