For many, the most challenging thing about quarantine is missing friends and family, and for Dave Haywood of Lady Antebellum, his bandmates.
"I don’t think I realized how much I miss day-to-day life with Charles [Kelley] and Hillary [Scott]," he says in a statement from his label. "I’m not trying to be cheesy, but it’s probably the longest time in our entire career that we haven’t been together for."
He doesn't just miss his band, though; he also misses performing, especially since this year's tour got cancelled amid concerns about coronavirus. "I think I just miss face to face connection with the fans," he continues. "I just want to be at a show on stage where I can high five Charles and Hillary, we’re playing our music together, and you can look down and see those first few rows of people singing along face to face to your music.
"You know, we’re all trying to stay connected through the Internet and through technology. But I just can’t wait to give them a big old hug when this is all over.
"It’s been a long time since I saw them, and I don’t think I realized how much we all walked through our day to day lives together with our own kids and families and what we’re working on, and I just miss that face to face interaction and I cannot wait to be back on stage and see people out there again.”
