The Eli Young Band played to a packed house Sunday night (December 8th) at the House of Blues in Anaheim.
The self-described "glorified garage band" from Denton, Texas (comprised of Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones, and Chris Thompson) came out swinging with the high-energy "Dust," and kept the momentum going as they played fan favorite after fan favorite, including the romantic "Always the Love Songs," the empowering "Love Ain't" and current single, "Break It In," along with a Beatles cover. They included a snippet of Tom Petty's "Learning to Fly" in the encouraging "Even If It Breaks Your Heart," before finishing their set with what is arguably their most popular hit to date, "Crazy Girl" (co-written by Lee Brice) and a cover of Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle."
Opening the show was Stagecoach 2020 artist Niko Moon and local favorite Eli V., both of whom successfully got the party started.
If you enjoy seeing the Eli Young Band in Sunday night concerts, they'll be returning to SoCal on Sunday, April 19th, when they play an acoustic show at Wilson Creek Winery.
