Astronauts aboard the International Space Station proved that they are not only smart, but also super-creative.
Commander Chris Cassidy and the ISS crew, part of Expedition 63, have put together a clever music video in which they lip-synch to Travis Tritt's "It's a Great Day to Be Alive" while showing what their daily lives are like aboard the space station. It's an inspirational and powerful video.
"From 250 miles above the Earth, Expedition 63 is very much aware of the hard times which exist in the neighborhoods of the world rotating below," they note on the YouTube video. "Even amid the uncertainty and difficulties of battling through these challenging times, we encourage everyone to be the best 'crewmates' & take care of each other.
"Cherish the people you love."Travis Tritt was flattered to have his song used in such a way. "This is the closest I will ever get to actually being in space," he joked in a press release. "I'm very honored to have my music being played on the International Space Station."
Meanwhile, Cassidy and his crew have a couple more months in space. Their mission began on April 17th of this year and will continue through October.
