The entire K-Frog family extends its deepest condolences to the friends and family of Kim Gervais of Mira Loma, who passed away this weekend as a result of injuries sustained during the horrific mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on October 1st, 2017.

Kim had attended the three day festival with two friends, Dana Smith and Pati Mestas, getting shot in the back and left a quadriplegic. While Dana was not physically injured in the shooting, Pati was killed, at 67 years old, the oldest victim in this terrible tragedy.

A GoFundMe account set up for Kim shortly after Route 91 had raised over $130,000 in just over a year.

Kim's sister, Dena Sarvela, reported to KPTV that Kim had passed away on Friday evening, November 15th, after her heart stopped from the stress of her injuries.

“She hurt. Even though she was paralyzed from the neck up, she could feel all the pain,” Sarvela told KPTV. “There was scrap metal still in her because he used exploding bullets.”

Shortly after her injuries, Kim was personally visited in the hospital by country artist Michael Ray

Kim was preceded in death by her husband George, who passed away in 2000. She was an active K-Frog listener, frequently attending country music concerts and events.
