The second stop of Matt Stell's "Everywhere But On" Tour, featuring Chris Bandi and Ray Fulcher, took place at the Brandin' Iron in San Bernardino Saturday night (January 25th), just a couple days after Matt's successful performance at K-Frog's 30th Birthday Bash.
'90s country has heavily influenced the sound of the "Prayed for You" singer, who included covers of Rhett Akins, Travis Tritt, and John Michael Montgomery in his set, the latter of which in particular, had the crowd stomping their feet. Other fan favorites included "I Bet the Whiskey Would," "Home In a Hometown," and "If I Was a Bar," along with his next single "Everywhere but On," which he noted was "about trying to outrun your problems."
The second opener, Chris Bandi, acknowledged a similar theme with his debut single, "Man Enough Now," describing it as being about "being a dumb-ass kid, breaking a good girl's heart, and learning a lesson." He included a couple songs from his forthcoming EP, such as "They Make Whiskey," and noted, "We figure we're in Southern California, we we'll take you to the beach for a second" before playing the surfy "Rain Man."
Ray Fulcher got the evening started, sharing his versions of songs written with Luke Combs, "When It Rains It Pours" and "Even Though I'm Leaving," which Ray shared is "one of my favorite songs that I've ever been part of."
And with strong performances from all three artists, it was definitely a favorite night for the crowd to be part of.
