It may not be the ideal way to approach Valentine's Day, but it works for Cameron Duddy of Midland.
"I look at Valentine's Day as a high-pressure situation to deliver," he confesses in a statement from the trio's label. "I've set the bar so low for myself in years past that it's only like an improvement every year. So I'm like a champion in my household because I started so low, with such a little emphasis on it.
"Cards are effective," he continues, offering advice for those who may find themselves lacking in Valentine's spirit. "I find if you write something heartfelt in the card that will make up for just about anything."
Midland will perform on Day Two of Stagecoach this year.
