Brantley Gilbert recently became a father again, when his daughter Braylen Hendrix was born earlier this month. She's the second child for Brantley and his wife Amber, who also have a 22-month-old son. And as much as Brantley loves playing music live, leaving them is the hardest part.
"Two things that really can make me cry in this world, and that's my two youngins," the "Bottoms Up" singer confesses in a statement from his label. "Every time I leave the house, he's figured out now when that's happening," he says of his son Barrett. "He fights sleep a little bit harder.
"He knows if I start walking my bag up to the bus – cause the bus stays at the house. He loves going up there," Brantley continues. "That's usually part of our day. He wants to walk to the top of the hill and he'll get on the bus, climb in the bunks and he's rambunctious, man. He'll wanna wrestle for a minute, and you know, he loves the bus. But if I take stuff up there he kinda starts figuring it out a little bit. I don't think he's to the point where he knows exactly what's going on, but I think, you know, he's got an idea that something's gonna be different tomorrow, and he fights sleep a little more.
"But the worst is when I have to leave during the day when he's awake. He doesn't really like it when I get in my truck and go places, but when I load up on that bus, he knows it's going to be for a minute. And man, he like grab my leg and, you know, just, 'Da-Da,' and aw man. Dude it ripped me up. That's my little man."
Brantley Gilbert will bring his "Fire't Up" Tour to Toyota Arena in Ontario on Thursday, March 26th, and we'll have your chance to win tickets all this week!
