Brad Paisley's current World Tour kicked off in Albuquerque last week; and came to the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre on Saturday night, with opening acts Chris Lane and Riley Green. And the "There Was This Girl" singer is thrilled to be spending his summer on the road with Brad - for several reasons.
"I've heard about his catering being top notch in the backstage area," Riley confesses in a statement from his label. "We're used to beef jerky and protein bars on the bus, so it'll be very refreshing to go have a nice meal before or after a show. That's something I'm looking forward to."
On a slightly more serious note, he continues, "I was always a Brad Paisley fan growing up and I can't really think of anybody that doesn't like Brad. You know, he's got a real fun personality and he's been doing it for a long time.
"So, to even get asked to be on that tour is such a big honor. But then you start looking at me getting in front of his crowd and potentially getting some new fans. And then probably more so, it being my first major tour and going out in support, is me and my band and my crew could probably learn a lot of stuff that'll help us down the road in our career."
The tour comes to FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine this Saturday, June 8th.
