A suicidal woman whose life was saved by a compassionate off-duty Riverside CHP Officer got to thank the man she calls her "guardian angel" this week.
"On July 23, 2019 Officer Guerrero was there when I tried to commit suicide at the 215 and Van Buren bridge," Yvette Carino explained on social media. "He was there at the right time. He had the time to talk to me telling me how life is so beautiful; he had the time to talk me into getting down from that bridge and thanks to him I'm still ALIVE. He will forever be my guardian angel.
On Monday, Carino was able to meet Officer Guerrero and thank him in person.
"Officer Guerrero made my day completely," she wrote about their reunion. "Not all heroes wear capes. My hero wears a uniform and works for the Riverside Highway Patrol."
