Many establishments are finding themselves having to get creative to continue to serve their patrons during the COVID-19 pandemic, among them: Riverside Public Library.

Starting today, the library is offering curbside pick-up and returning of materials, such as books, audio books, and DVDs.

Items can be reserved online, or by calling the appropriate library branch, and you'll be notified by phone, text, or email when items are available for pickup. Once you arrive, please call the branch with your driver's license or library card handy, and library staff will bag and place your items on the service table out front.

"We are thrilled to launch the Library-to-Go service today," Library Director Erin Christmas told K-Frog. "Providing access to information to all members of the community is what the Riverside Public Library strives to do on a daily basis. Some customers are unable to use the digital resources the Library offers, and this new curbside service ensures that everyone has the opportunity to use the resources the library provides."

Hours for pickup are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12n-6p and Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 5pm.

Participating branches include:

  • Arlanza Library 951-826-2217
  • Arlington Library 951-826-2291
  • SSgt. Salvador J. Lara Casa Blanca Library 951-826-2120
  • SPC. Jesus S. Duran Eastside Library 951-826-2235
  • La Sierra Library 951-826-2235
  • Marcy Library 951-826-2078
  • Orange Terrace Library 951-826-2184

Patrons are asked to wear face coverings when picking up materials and to observe social distancing.
