St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino has put out a plea asking for donations of personal protective equipment (PPE), as concerns about the health and safety of their staff, especially front line workers such as doctors, nurses, and CNAs, rise due to COVID-19.
In a LinkedIn post, Dr. Fariborz Lalezarzadeh, a general surgeon at St. Bernardine, requested supplies such as new N-95 face masks, coveralls (aka "bunny suits"), gloves, face shields, lab goggles, shoe covers, hand sanitizer, and powered air-purifying respirators (PAPRs), noting that they are expecting to treat a surge of coronavirus patients in the coming weeks.
More information can be found here. Unfortunately, handmade masks are not being accepted.
