Tim McGraw didn't plan on making "I Called Mama" the first single from his latest album Here on Earth, but the pandemic caused him to shift gears a little.
"I really do think that this song just really tells a story, and it tells a story that we can all wrap ourselves up in, no matter what your station in life is and no matter if your mom's still around or not, or if you're married or if you have kids or if you have children who call you," he explains in a statement from his label.
"It just really is one of those things that really wraps us up in a warm blanket, I think, and really makes us feel like we're hearing a story about our lives."
