Congratulations to Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line and his wife Hayley, who are now parents of two!
The singer announced today's early morning birth of Luca Reed in a social media post, writing, "Words can't describe the overwhelming emotions that I experienced last night as we witnessed the miracle of life. I couldn't be more proud of my amazing wife through this whole journey. She's an absolute angel and meant to be a mother. I thank God for answering our prayers and bringing Luca into the world peacefully and smoothly. I didn't think life could get any better but it just did."
PEOPLE exclusively confirms that Luca Reed was born on August 19th at 3:40am, weighing in at 8 lbs., 11 oz. and measuring 20.5 inches long. Hayley reported that Luca has perfect timing, as her contractions started just after Tyler arrived from his final concert for the weekend.
"We liked the name Luca, thought it was kind of American but kind of cultured as well," explained Tyler in a statement from FGL's label earlier this summer. "And also it means 'bringer of light.' So we kind of thought that was cool.
"And the middle name Reed is my middle name, so we just want to carry that over, thought it kinda had a little ring to it, Luca Reed."
The baby boy joins older sister Olivia Rose, who was born in December, 2017.
