Many baseball teams have been setting up cardboard fans in the stands in lieu of real-life fans during the COVID-19 era, but sports fan Brett Young says you won't find him represented among those flat fans.
"I hate to say this publicly, but I hate that," he admits in a statement from his label. "I understand why. I know it's even like a source of revenue for the team but it creeps me out.
"And the NBA creeps me out too, because they do it on screen and they're like four times the size of a person. None of it feels right to me. So, everybody has an opportunity. It just costs a couple bucks and you pay for it, but I don't like it.
"I'd rather see an empty stadium than cardboard cutouts. That being said, that's just me."
