There’s something really special about a place where veterans can walk in, grab a cup of coffee, swap stories with someone who gets it—and also find real help when they need it.
One of those organizations that’s been doing exactly that for more than a century is the American Legion. And right here in Chino, Post 299 has been serving local veterans and their families since 1924.
Tom Lively, Commander of American Legion Post 299, and Danielle Lively, President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 299, discuss the American Legion Family (including the Auxiliary, the Sons of the American Legion, and the American Legion Riders), how they all work together to support veterans, active-duty service members, and their families, and their upcoming Veterans Resource and Wellness Expo—a one-stop event designed to connect veterans with benefits, job opportunities, wellness services, and a whole lot of community.
