Wynn Las Vegas introduced a new era of entertainment with the premiere of Awakening on Nov. 7, 2022. An unprecedented spectacle, Awakening is a mythic adventure story of a hero who confronts the forces of Darkness in a quest to bring Light back to the world. The production immerses audiences in a custom-designed 360-degree theater experience with soaring aerialists, bounding acrobats, high-energy choreography, couture costumes, stunning puppetry, and comedic moments. All set amid one of the most technologically immersive theater ever designed.

The theater features 1,600 seats, each within 75 feet of center stage and equipped with a sound system that envelops audiences through WynnSonic featuring PHBX Technology™ – a technology that surrounds each member of the audience in a cocoon of 3D sound. Elaborate set designs are showcased as the journey unfolds across a 60-foot prismatic stage, made of dichroic glass and custom LED screens. More than 300 costumes, inspired by haute couture, bring the three unique worlds of Awakening to life. Awakening is an adventure of spectacular proportions.


Awakening is conceived and created by some of the most renowned creative talents in the entertainment industry including legendary Producer Bernie Yuman, Producer/Director Baz Halpin, Emmy Award-winning Designer Producer Michael Curry, narrated by two-time Academy Award-winner Anthony Hopkins.

Awakening showtimes are Friday – Tuesday at 7 p.m., with additional performances at 9:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Tuesdays. The show is dark on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

April portrays the leading character Darkness in Awakening at Wynn Las Vegas. She started her dance career at age 15, dancing for the Kentucky Derby. After portraying Cassandra in CATS, she toured worldwide performing on cruise ships, resorts, and casinos. April performed for The Latin Grammy Awards for six seasons alongside music artists such as Pitbull, Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias, J Balvin, Gente de Zona, and Major Lazer. She toured one season with Charo and two seasons with Broadway's The Illusionists. April opened Totally Outrageous Brunch, was the dance captain for Vegas! The Show, and the assistant choreographer for Zombie Burlesque. April's television credits include the CW's Masters of Illusion, America's Got Talent, and Fox's Game of Talents.
