Currently, 81% of the children that the nonprofit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire serves are Hispanic but only 26% of volunteers are Hispanic. More Hispanic volunteers are needed to help support and impact our local Hispanic youth and future generations.
Estela Rubio is an I.E. first generation Mexican American, and as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, she tells us about her work with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and the difference she's seen in her "little" since she became involved in her life.
