A couple months ago, at Chino Police Department's open house, one of the detectives was asked, "What is the one thing you wish the public knew about your job?" He paused, thought a moment, and then quietly said, "That we appreciate being appreciated."
That's the mission of Blue Light Cause, an Inland Empire non-profit, which visits local police stations about once a week to make sure that they know they are appreciated. Crystal Bran, Founder of Blue Light Cause, discusses how this initiative, which started just over a year ago, is boosting the morale of local law enforcement.
