Brett Young and his wife Taylor Mills are super-excited for the arrival of their second daughter into the world next month (she'll join the Youngs' 20-month-old daughter Presley), and while Brett admits he's still hoping for a boy to add to their family, he's also glad that this time around at least, they'll be having a girl.
"I always wanted a boy," he confesses in a statement from his label. "I think all men initially think they just want boys. But our across the street neighbors, their oldest is a girl and then they went boy, boy. And the youngest boy is Presley's age. The older boy's only a few years older.
"And we went over for like a play date, and we had just found out Taylor was pregnant again, but we didn't know if it was gonna be a boy or a girl yet," he continues. "And, their oldest daughter and my nine-month-old daughter just sat on the couch very chill, hangin' out, while the two boys chased each other around the coffee table for two hours straight and never stopped screaming and throwing things at each other.
"In my head, I was like, 'Oh God, I hope the second one's a girl!'"
In the past, Brett has hinted that he and Taylor would like at least one more child, so there may be a boy in their future after all!
