K-Frog celebrated its 34th Birthday Bash at Morongo Casino Resort and Spa Friday night (January 19th) with a local boy: Brett Young, who grew up listening to K-Frog.
During the show, Brett admitted that as a kid, he used to turn the station to K-Frog to annoy his sister when he got to ride shotgun and she had to ride in the backseat. But things took a turn when Brett fell in love with the genre, and here we are!
His power acoustic set was filled with his signature sad songs and happy songs that sound sad. He also noted that "Lady" was probably the most special to him, as it was written as a song for his daughter about his wife (since then, another daughter has been added to the family). Only his second performance of the year, Brett also shared for the first time publicly that "In Case You Didn't Know" had recently received the Diamond Award for going 10x platinum, only the sixth time that a country song has achieved that award.
Putting in equally impressive sets that earned just as many accolades from the crowd as the headliner, were support acts Kassi Ashton, who charmed the crowd with her sultry voice and gift for humor as she told the stories behind her songs, and former Voice contestant Dalton Dover, who stunned with his soaring vocals in his first performance of 2024.
