CHOC welcomes the first resident dog dedicated to helping kids in a pediatric inpatient mental health unit

A silly, spunky, sassy black Labrador / Golden Retriever mix is believed to be the first resident dog dedicated to helping kids in a pediatric inpatient mental health unit, and she's right here in Southern California! This sweet animal named Odessa and her handler bring a special, caring resource to children at Children's Health of Orange County (CHOC).

CHOC Child Life Specialist Janessa Vanden Berge discusses the love and support that Odessa is bringing to the kids at the Charese Mari Laulhere Mental Health Inpatient Center.
