The Sheriff's Rodeo in San Bernardino got underway Thursday night with a sponsor dinner and performance from Darryl Worley and and former Voice contestant Michael Austin!
Throughout the evening, both gentlemen expressed their gratitude for law enforcement and appreciation for the Inland Empire and its country music fans, with Darryl sharing, "This is one of my favorite parts of California that I've ever been to," while former San Bernardino Sheriff's Deputy Michael Austin declared, "It feels good to be home!"
Darryl's set included hits like "Awful Beautiful Life," "I Miss My Friend," and his mother's favorite song, "Second Wind," as well as the patriotic "Have You Forgotten," celebrating its 20th anniversary and a tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett by way of "Margaritaville."
Michael's set included originals, plus plenty of rock covers as well as his signature remake of Charlie Daniels Band's "Devil Went Down to Georgia" - minus the fiddle and a poignant version of Tim McGraw's "If You're Reading This."
