Desert Haven in Barstow provides a safe haven for families and individuals affected by domestic violence. As October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Desert Sanctuary will be holding a candelight vigil this Saturday, October 2nd, and an open house on Wednesday, October 20th. Eunice Vargas, Community Liaison for Desert Sanctuary, explains what to expect from these events, as well as their ongoing programs and services.
