
While it's hot as heck here in Southern California, the Disneyland Resorts are gearing up for fall fun!
Disneyland has announced that starting in September, Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, and Donald will be dressed for Halloween, all part of the Main Street Pumpkin Festival. Jack Skellington will be giving the Haunted Mansion a makeover, and every night from September 3rd to October 31st, guests can enjoy “Halloween Screams”, a supernatural projection and special effects show. A Day of the Dead celebration, with a colorful Día de los Muertos tribute, will take place in Frontierland.
Over at Disney's California Adventure, Cars Land will find Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree transformed into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and Luigi’s Rolickin’ Roadsters will become Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. Guests who wish to experience Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark will help Groot escape The Collector’s Fortress.
Plaza de la Familia in Paradise Gardens will honor the spirt of Dia de los Muertos from September 3rd to November 2nd with entertainment, festive foods, crafts, art exhibits, interactive experiences, and a tribute to the Pixar movie "Coco."
On select nights from September 9th through October 31st, the separate-ticket, after-park hours event Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party, during which guests can enjoy Trick-or-Treating, parades, and character sightings. Tickets go on-sale starting Tuesday, July 13th.
Downtown Disney District will get in the spirit, too, from September 9th through October 31st with seasonal décor, and treats and an all-new Halloween-themed pumpkin hunt, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit.
