Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley hosts Christmas Tree Lane
Affordable housing continues to be a concern for many Californians. With a poverty rate that is climbing, now close to 15% in Riverside County, Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley is providing a multi-prong solution to the housing crisis through its many housing programs. Serving a population of over 460,000 people, Habitat is dependent on the generosity of the community in the giving of their time and resources. Each year, Habitat hosts its signature Christmas Tree Lane fundraising event.
This year, 26 local businesses have sponsored professionally decorated Christmas trees and even a playhouse! These trees and the playhouse will stand at one of two locations this year, the Promenade Temecula and the ReStore Design Center, for five weeks in a magical winter wonderland. Visitors can purchase tickets for as little as $1 and enter for an opportunity to win a Christmas Tree Lane original tree. The community is invited to enjoy the splendor of these trees and enter the tree raffle. Kids visiting the event this year will receive a Santa Letter Writing Kit to make this festive season even more fun.
Ticket purchasers may win a decorated tree or a playhouse in one of 26 separate raffles, but ticket sales serve an even greater purpose. All proceeds from the raffle support Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley programs; the trees offer hope to the families that benefit from Habitat's resources.
From now until December 14, the Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley Christmas Tree Lane event will remain open for raffle ticket sales. The winter wonderland of trees are located downstairs outside of JC Penney with a second location at the Design Center located at 24810 Vincent Moraga in Temecula. There is no charge to enter either exhibit. Final event drawings will take place on December 14th at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. via Facebook Live.
Tickets are $1 each • 25 tickets for $20 OR 60 tickets for $50 – PLUS a $20 OFF ReStore Design Center coupon.
