Currently, less than 8% of former foster youth attend college and only 3% obtain degrees. They are in need of educational and employment guidance as well as life skills training and affordable housing. Inspire Life Skills Training seeks to assist these transitional age youth in overcoming their past and gaining the skills and support needed to choose a positive and rewarding future. Kristi Perez, Founder and Director of Inspire Life Skills, discusses how they are working to encourage transitional age foster youth to pursue college and trade skill education, and their upcoming "Reflections" dinner and fundraiser.
