Jimmie Allen will be the next artist to team up with Blake Shelton as an advisor on season 22 of The Voice.
The announcement was made on social media when Shelton shared that the "Freedom Was A Highway" singer would be joining "Team Blake."
Shelton expressed his excitement by posting a photo of he and Allen on set with the caption, "I couldn't keep it a secret any longer.. Welcome to #TeamBlake, @jimmieallen!!!"
Allen also chimed in by saying, "The June 18th boys are here," signifying both artists share the same birthday.
With Allen joining the show, he'll add to the list of country artists who have served as advisors on past seasons include Dierks Bentley, Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, Darius Rucker, Brooks & Dunn and more.
The new season of The Voice premieres Monday, Sept. 19, at 8PM ET on NBC.
