Lady A is thrilled and humbled to again be competing for the title of the Academy of Country Music's Vocal Group of the Year this Sunday. They've been nominated in that category eleven times and have won it three.
“We are in such incredible company," Hillary Scott says in a statement from the trio's label about the other nominees in that category (Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Cadillac Three, and the Highwomen). "This category is just, dare I say, one of the most competitive.
"And also, they’re some of the most incredibly kind, closest friends in the industry," she continues. "And so, it’s always really, really special to be included. The ACM‘s hold a really special place in our heart. It’s the first award we ever won, was an ACM.
"And so this show and just how incredible they’ve been to us over the years, we’re just very grateful to always be included.”
