Like many musicians, Dave Haywood of Lady is missing being on the road, touring, and playing live music, but he's also grateful that the pandemic has allowed him to spend extra time with his family.
"As much as I miss the road, there's been so many gifts on the day-to-day with my two kids," he confesses in a statement from the trio's label. "The morning time and the night times, a lot of those you miss, and those are some of the sweetest moments for me, is right when they wake up and getting ready for the day, and sort of having a moment together to connect; at night, being able to put them to bed.
"I mean, we would've missed a lot of that time, and I obviously missed the road, but don't regret being home and that quality time that we've gained being with them. So, I'm thankful for the time with them. At some point in time, we have to put them on the iPad to give daddy some time," he continues with a laugh. "But to have day in and day out has really been a gift."
