Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd dish on his new shorter hair
Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris have a steamy new duet called "Chasing After You," and to go along with it, Ryan is sporting a steamy new look.
"I love growing my hair out," Ryan confesses in a statement from his label. "I've done it like 4 or 5 times ever since college it's kind of been my look, but every once in a while it's just time to get rid of it.
"And I knew that at the end of last year, I was getting kind of like burnt out on Covid and - I think everybody kind of was and still is - but I just called our manager and the label and was like 'I'm cutting my hair off. It's time for it to go. I want like to go dark on socials and I want to just come back with this song and a new look and just like put my stamp on like this year.' It was just time. There's no real reason."
Maren Morris chimes in with her opinion as well. "I love him with short hair because he had short hair on our wedding day, so I always – you know, when he came home a couple weeks ago and he had cut all of his hair off, I was like 'Aww this reminds me of our wedding day.'
"But, I think he looks good with both, but I totally get you're in quarantine for a year. People are getting pregnant. People are adopting dogs. People are breaking up. People are cutting their hair off. It is what it is."
"I have grown my hair out and cut it off in the amount of times that we've been stuck at home," adds Ryan.
