Sweet Chestnut is a warrior! He survived Parvo as a puppy. He has been with ARE Animal Rescue most of his life, and he'd really love to get a home of his own. Since he's been in a shelter environment his whole life, he is looking for humans who will be patient with him and teach him all those comforts we take for granted such as couch naps, lazy Sundays, etc.
Chestnut is a loyal dog and will be your best friend once he settles in. He has done well with other dogs his size while in the rescue's care and has lots of energy to play! We recommend an adult-only home for his guy because he has lots of energy and the few children he's come into contact with, seemed to have caused him some stress.
